Robert Peek, founder of Amesbury Companies, graduated with a Finance degree from Louisiana State University and has over 28 years in the commercial & multi-family Industry specializing in development, acquisitions, finance, property management and brokerage. Robert is responsible for the leadership of all Amesbury entities as well as advancing the company's strategic initiatives.
He has owned and developed Class A multi-family developments throughout the states of Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee, where he also holds real estate broker licenses. Throughout his career, Robert has experienced all aspects of a complete real estate cycle and through this experience has acquired the skills necessary to maximize asset value regardless of market conditions.
Robert is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and has served as board member of the Commercial Investment Division (CID) of the Baton Rouge Association of Realtors and the Baton Rouge Growth Coalition. Robert's dedication to hard work and his innate ability to complete difficult tasks have allowed Amesbury Companies to become a regional industry leader.
Denise Scelfo has been with Amesbury Companies since its inception bringing over 25 years of experience in the multi-family development and management industry. During much of her career, Denise served as a Regional Director for one of the nation's largest REIT's. She has managed large portfolios in major markets throughout the States of Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee and Texas. Her expertise in new construction, debt resolution, and transforming distressed assets has played a pivotal role in Amesbury' success. As a Consultant, Denise has been engaged as a multi-family construction litigation expert in multiple large scale cases.
Denise has held board positions with the Orlando Apartment Association, Baton Rouge Apartment Association and Apartment Association of Acadiana and was a certified instructor with the National Apartment Association. She is presently a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Baton Rouge Apartment Association, Greater Nashville Apartment Association and Apartment Association of Longview.
Kurt Miller attended Loyola University and brings over 20 years of experience in every facet of residential, commercial and multi-family construction to Amesbury Companies. He is responsible for all aspects of the firm's construction activity including site location, site preparation, construction quality assurance, financial management and final construction delivery. His extensive experience and attention to detail provide an internal framework of checks and balances on each development to ensure timely delivery and a product of the highest quality possible. Kurt first became a licensed custom home builder contractor in 1990 and currently holds a Louisiana Commerical Contractor's license.
Kurt Michael Miller was licensed as a custom home builder in 1990 and thus brings more than 20 years of project management experience to PHL Construction. In his leadership role at PHL, Kurt supervises the construction of the project, including its organization, planning, and scheduling. He coordinates labor and supervises job activities to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Kurt maintains complete knowledge of all contract documents, drawings and specifications, schedules, labor agreements and local municipal and state regulatory codes related to the project. Kurt has completed multiple leadership, management and other workshops and training programs. His attention to detail provides an internal framework of checks and balances on the developments to insure a low threshold for risk. As a PHL supervisor, Kurt is responsible for facilitating project completion.
